Mickleover Model Railway Exhibition
Our 2024 exhibition was a great success. Our ticket sales topped 360 on Saturday 5th October and 320 on Sunday 6th. This made it our best attendance since COVID. Thank you to all who came – your support is much appreciated.
2025 Exhibition
Our next exhibition dates are Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th October 2025.

How do I get there?
Mickleover Community Centre was originally the Victorian school, situated on Uttoxeter Road, the main road through Mickleover village.
By car
If using a satnav, enter the postcode DE3 0DA.
Parking
There are a number of nearby car parks and on-road parking available.
Limited parking is available at the back of the Community Centre (accessible past the Mickleover Library on Vicarage Road).
There is a public car park in the shopping area opposite the Community Centre.
There are a limited number of parking spaces on The Square next to the nearby Masons Arms pub.
Tesco, Mickleover is close by and has a large car park available to customers with free parking up to 3 hours.
Please check all restrictions before parking as the Club cannot be responsible for any penalties that may be issued.
By Bus
The local bus service is provided by Trent Barton and is called ‘The Mickleover’
There are two services (Blue and Green) which run in alternate directions around the ‘Ladybank Estate’ nearby and depart Derby Bus Station at 10-minute intervals on Saturday and 15-minute intervals on Sunday. To get to the show, it is best to use the ‘Green’ service as that has a more direct route every 20 minutes (30 on Sunday) – however to return, it is better to use the ‘Blue’ service.
The nearest stops to the Community Centre are Vicarage Road and Tesco.
There is also the ‘Villager’ service which is slightly quicker and runs every 30 minutes on Saturday and every hour on Sunday.

How much is admission?
Adults: £5 Children: FREE (Under 16 years old if accompanied by a paying adult)..
What will be there?
A selection of layouts from our club members plus the club’s own layouts, along with sales trade stands. This year we will feature a number of layouts, across multiple scales and gauges, as well as traders and a demonstration stand.
Club layouts in operation will be:
Derwent Valley – N gauge
Warner Street – O gauge
Hillandale – OO gauge
Duffield – OO gauge
Also Thomas & Friends – OO gauge
The main display will be 12 visiting and members layouts across a variety of gauges including N, 009, 00, HO, and O..

A2B Model Railways (Model Railway shop at Matlock Bath)
John Sammans (Quality second-hand British and American models)
The Railway Bookshop (New and second-hand books)
Baz’s Model Rail please (Tools, scenic items, and other items useful to any modeller)
Club Second-Hand Sales (A chance for members to dispose of unwanted items and a chance for visitors to grab a bargain!)

Hot & cold drinks, food, and snacks will be available from the Old School Tearooms in the Community Centre throughout the event.
